Counselor Corner

Welcome to the Silo Early Childhood Counseling page!

My goal is to help every child feel safe, supported, connected, and ready to learn. During the early childhood years, children are learning important skills such as managing emotions, making friends, solving problems, building confidence, and adjusting to new experiences.

I am here to partner with students, families, and teachers to support the social, emotional, and academic success of our students in Pre-K through 2nd grade.

WHEN SHOULD I CONTACT THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR?

Please feel free to contact me if your child is experiencing:

• Difficulty adjusting to school
• Separation anxiety
• Worries or fears
• Big emotions or frequent emotional outbursts
• Anger or frustration
• Friendship difficulties
• Changes in behavior
• Grief or loss
• Divorce, separation, or changes at home
• A stressful or traumatic experience
• Attendance concerns
• Any situation affecting your child's well-being or success at school

You do not have to wait until there is a major problem to reach out. Early communication between home and school can make a big difference for young children.
