SILO PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Hi! My name is Kendra Jackson. I recently moved back to Durant with my husband Joey, and 4 children. My son Weston, Cooper, and Brody attend Silo schools, and my youngest son Jagger is in daycare. I began teaching at Big Five Headstart when my children were younger and then stayed home for a few years and opened a home daycare. When I returned to teaching, I taught Kindergarten and then moved to 3rd grade. I absolutely love teaching 3^rd grade and I am so grateful to be at Silo!  #BLESSEDREBEL   

I have learned so much as a teacher and I’m eager to continue learning and growing. My past experiences have taught me that it’s important to treat each class differently because each student is different. There is not ONE set of rules or guidelines that can be followed. Every year has been a unique experience! 

I have been teaching 3^rd grade for 5 years and I love it! I moved back to Durant in 2017 with my boys, who also attend Silo. We have 2 dogs, Charlie and Jackson. 

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy camping, riding UTVs , and having movie nights at home. I try to workout when I can, because I love ice cream A LOT!
