On Wednesday, March 12^th three Silo students attended the Prospective Teacher Academy at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.  They were welcomed by Jon Hazel, the 2017 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year.  Rachel Keith, 2024 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year, was the keynote speaker.  They were treated to lunch with information about campus life, Greek life and student testimonials.  The breakout sessions included Teacher Questions and Answers, Education Requirements, Becoming Part of the Savage Storm and Diversity.  They also got to ask questions of a teachers panel that included Hazel, Keith, Traci Manuel (2023 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year), Donna Gradel (2018 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year) and Rebecca Oglesby  (2019 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year).  Those attending from Silo were Dayla Campbell, Samantha Raney and Emily Wright.
